Leadership Iowa University is a program of the Iowa Association of Business and Industry Foundation (ABIF). It is patterned after two other premier programs, Leadership Iowa and Business Horizons, each a highly-respected program enjoying over 25 years of successfully preparing high school students and adults to take leadership roles in their organizations, communities and the State of Iowa.

 

This unique program is designed to educate, inspire and develop young leaders as the foundation for Iowa’s future economic growth and to encourage their on-going involvement in local communities and the state to create a better future for all Iowans.

 

22 students have been selected for the inaugural year for this one-week residential program to be held August 9–13, 2009. There will also be follow-up sessions and a mentoring program due before the end of the school year.
