Class of 2009-10 - Leadership Iowa University

Class of 2009-10

Rhonda Greenway

University of Northern Iowa

I’m currently a sophomore Political Communications major at the University of Northern Iowa. I hail from the town of Van Meter, Iowa, which is a town of well under 1,000 citizens just west of Des Moines. Back in high school I was constantly busy with one activity or another. I was quite the political enthusiast, which led to me paging in the Iowa Senate my last year of high school. Honestly, not much has changed since then in that respect, hence my choice of major. I’ve since worked for a political party and I just wrapped up an internship at the Iowa Finance Authority. Other than that, at UNI I fill my days with collegiate policy debate, Model United Nations, caffeine and YouTube videos.

In my free time I can be found drinking lattes and talking some unlucky person’s ear off. I’m also a texting junkie who has a moderately unhealthy infatuation with lip gloss and hairspray. I love the New York Times, Facebook, and all things Google. I’m fairly certain that if I could telepathically update my Twitter, I would. Oh, and on a very important note, I love Wikipedia, product placement, high heels and cherry limeade.
