My name is Ria Thompson I was born and raised in Des Moines Iowa.  I am 22 years of age which I just recently turned on July 23rd of this year.  I graduated from Roosevelt High School in 2005 and I also took career courses at Central Campus that transferred over to college credits.  I currently attend Des Moines Area Community College at the Ankeny campus.  There I study Graphic Design and plan to have my AA Degree in Graphic Design by Fall of 2010.

I am involved in the NAACP college chapter in Des Moines, IA and I am the treasurer.   I do a lot of volunteer work with my church and through school.  I plan on running for the Student Activity Council President position this fall.  I was awarded the outstanding student leader from the DMACC Alumni for 2008-2009, for my work around campus and being on different committees. 

My goals are to first graduate with my AA degree in Graphic Design and begin working as a graphic artist with a firm.  I want to network and get my name out there in the community to where I am comfortable with starting my own firm and become CEO of My Dezigns, the future company owned by Ria Nicole Thompson!
