I decided that I wanted to try and get into Leadership Iowa University because I had heard about it from a friend, Ria Thompson. I heard about her experiences within the program and I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to grow within my career and to meet some new people. Before coming here I thought that it would just be a lot of lectures and learning, but I am already seeing that there will be a lot of hands on opportunities to practice networking and to grow socially.

The networking is a huge part of business and this process will open many doors. The connections we walk away with from LIU will be an advantage.

I wish I could have had the opportunities you had today. I know this week will be an amazing experience but I wish I wouldn't have had mandatory orientation and registration for school. The connections and networking that will evolve this week may open many doors that we would have never dreamed.
